I am currently in the pre-production process of producing my first film, Model Deception. In this video, the first 30 seconds is a sneak peak of our trailer for Model Deception, along with words from some of our actors that will be included in my upcoming crowd funding campaign.
Why I Created Model Deception:
Basically this project was created because I was inspired by a model, who bravely shared her personal story with me. This young woman came to Miami from a small town in Virginia and almost fell into the wrong hands… unfortunately a friend of hers got pulled into a dark and ugly world of human trafficking. My friend was fortunate to get out of a very dangerous situation, but her friend wasn't so lucky. This piece is meant to build awareness about an issue that needs some attention: human trafficking.
Check out Polaris Project

Not every woman is going to have a “Chloe” to get her out of a fear-driven world of slavery, so this project is meant to wake us up to this issue, reminding us to be more aware of our surroundings… and getting back to the basics of street smarts. If something doesn’t seem right, to really trust that instinct.
Model Deception speaks to young girls, and young women - who will quickly see that they need to develop street smarts and set up a protocol as a response to any potentially dangerous situations that could arise. They don’t want to be in a vulnerable situation like the girls in our film.
This film also has a message for parents, especially those with young daughters, some might be stepping out into the world of modeling…many times they are traveling and on their own, placed in vulnerable situations that can turn them into prey. I was fortunate to have a father who was a police officer, so these street smarts were instilled in me at a young age, and my hopes are that other girls have the opportunity to learn this. We want the best for our children, and it all starts with education.
